We will be speaking at the Touratech West Rally in Plain, WA to share roadbooks with a new audience. They are not just a great way to share route information for racing. They are a great way to share Dual Sport and Adventure Bike routes as well. We will be on stage along with our good friend, Willem Avenant, to give a talk on the history of roadbooks and their progression from sheets on a notepad that was torn off, to continuous hand cranked rolls, to motorized roll chart holders, to where they are now on electronic devices. We will cover how to follow a roadbook along with going over waypoints and waypoint types, CAP headings, tulips, notes and symbols. We will cover the operation of the app used to view the roadbooks on a mobile device like a phone or tablet.
